Mona was barely able to hobble this morning so we took the last 5-6 km to Burgos by bus. After checking into our albergue we took a city bus to the shopping center where she was able to get some new hiking shoes (her third pair!) and we bought a few snacks. I do have a couple of city pictures.

The line of backpacks! Just like schoolkids, pilgrims line up their packs waiting for albergues to open. This was a new experience for us since we are usually the last to arrive. There are only 16 bunks in this place which is on the second story (accessible by a 38 step spiral staircase ). And, yippee! We have bottom bunks because we are considered old and infirmed.
